On the Enabling of Multi-Receiver Communications With Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces

The reconfigurable intelligent surface is a promising technology for the manipulation and control of wireless electromagnetic signals. In particular, it has potential to provide significant performance improvements networks. However, do so, proper reconfiguration reflection coefficients unit cells required, which often leads complex expensive devices. To amortize cost, one may share system resources among multiple transmitters receivers. this paper, we propose an efficient technique providing over beams independently. Compared time-consuming optimization techniques, proposed strategy utilizes analytical method configure multi-beam radiation. This easy implement, effective since only requires phase reconfiguration. We analyze indoor outdoor scenarios, given broadcast mode operation. aforesaid scenarios encompass some most challenging that networks encounter. show our provisions sufficient in observed channel capacity when receivers are close office environment scenario. Further, report considerable increase throughput environment.
